our core beliefs

At Heaven’s Canopy Church, we are committed to living out the timeless truths of God’s Word. We believe in the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith, as expressed in the Bible. Below are the core beliefs that guide our ministry and life together:

  • The Bible – We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

  • God – We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is loving, just, and sovereign over all creation.

  • Jesus Christ –  We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension to heaven. He is the Savior of the world and the way, the truth, and the life.

  • The Holy Spirit – We believe in the present work of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers for service, convicts of sin, and guides us into all truth.

  • Salvation – We believe salvation is a gift from God, available to all who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ. It is through faith, by grace, that we are saved, and this salvation brings both eternal life and transformation in the present.

  • The Church – We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers worldwide. The Church’s mission is to spread the Gospel, make disciples, and serve others with love and humility.

  • The Second Coming of Christ – We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal Kingdom.

  • Eternal Life – We believe in eternal life, where those who trust in Christ will live forever in the presence of God, and those who reject Him will be eternally separated from God.

  • Baptism and Communion – We believe in the sacraments of baptism and communion as outward expressions of an inward faith. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Communion commemorates Christ’s sacrifice for us.

  • The Great Commission – We believe in the call to go into all the world, preaching the Gospel and making disciples of all nations. We strive to fulfill this mission locally and globally, sharing God’s love and truth with those around us.
